An Ecstatic Dance & Embodiment Retreat
During this Embodiment and Ecstatic Dance 5 day 4 night retreat you will find yourself deep in the Heart of the Jungle in luscious & tropical Costa Rica! We welcome you to VerdEnergia Pacifica, an Ecovillage, Regenerative Food Forest, and Permaculture retreat center immersed in nature in a coastal mountain valley just 2.5 hours from SJO international airport.
Verdant green hillsides dotted with waterfalls and pristine rivers leads you deeper into a birdwatchers paradise, to a thriving cacao & tropical food forest paradise, where a community of kind earth loving souls is ready to dance in celebration of the abundance of life!

We are thrilled to welcome all who feel the call to join us for this special gathering, now in it's third year, where people of all ages, nationalities, and backgrounds come to dance together! We will spend our time tuning in with the beauty all around through furthering into somatic practices, including ecstatic dance, sound healing, yoga, contact, authentic movement, ceremony, and so much more.....plus plenty of time for rest, river dipping, sun bathing, nature spa time, swimming in our spring fed pool, or exploration, discovery, learning, or adventure.
One aspect that we also emphasize as part of the experience is making amazing connections, initiating meaningful conversations, and sharing in delightful communal mealtimes. Speaking of the food, participants are treated to three seasonal, delectable, abundant, and nourishing meals a day from our trained Chef (with snack options available for purchase in the afternoons)....and of course, things just wouldn't be complete without daily coffee service from beans grown on our neighbors farm....some of the world's best! Meals will be gluten-free, & mostly vegetarian with some egg/dairy options, possibly some meat/fish if available locally/seasonally.

Camping is free & included in the base price for the event. Bring your own gear and set up camp in our cleared campground area.

We also have our dorm building with 4 dorm rooms. Each room is unique with single or double occupancy bed options available.

Adrián Yozéf Campos
Founder of Beyond Dance, the largest local Ecstatic Dance Community in Costa Rica, he is one of the most important "space holders" emerging in the Central Valley and Pacific Coast region of Costa Rica. He is a fun and charismatic visionary committed to creating a safe, substance-free, ceremonial and therapeutic space for the exploration of the inner self through music and movement meditation. Yozéf is not only continually growing and evolving as a leader and DJ, carefully weaving together lush fusions of worlds for the subtle landscapes of the soul, but he is also a pioneer who captures the full spectrum of the rainbow in his field of work (embodiment and inner alchemy through movement) to provide a dynamic, sumptuous and satisfying experience for the healing and rejuvenation of the individual.
ZANA PRANA
Zana Prana captivates audiences with her mesmerizing live performances, guiding listeners on a transformative journey. With a ritualistic touch, she skillfully blends a diverse array of musical genres, encompassing bass, downtempo vibes, electronic and world sounds.
Infusing her sets with ethereal live vocals, live instruments and interactive elements, Zana Prana effortlessly transforms the dance floor into an activation of embodiment & liberation.
JESSE KLEIN
Jesse Klein is a Northern California based music producer, DJ, multi-instrumentalist, singer, and dance facilitator. After spending years traveling, doing inner work, meditation retreats, trainings, workshops, Yoga and Chi Kung courses, Chi Nei Tsang and Dance certifications and more has allowed him to weave together all that he has learned to create a powerful listening experience for his audience. His music will take you on a journey, whether its foot-stomping electronica or soul-soothing solo piano.
Jesse's offerings include his original music sets, solo piano ambient soundscapes, Ecstatic Dance and other DJ sets, Contact Beyond Contact dance classes, sound healings, musical mentorship/lessons, and more.
SHEENA MEDICINA
Sheena Medicina, whose real name is Christina Sasser, has been a lover of music & a dancer her entire life. She began exploring conscious movement since first discovering the work of Gabrielle Roth & the 5 Rhythms practice in her early twenties, & soon after found Ecstatic Dance & was hooked.
Always having a deep well of creativity & fortified with a manifesting generator approach to life, she began DJ'ing in 2015 & has been making a name for herself ever since after regularly throwing down some of the best dance floor vibrations all over Cascadia, the west coast, & beyond. She now spends her time Dj'ing & touring, teaching & empowering women to step into the music industry, & producing events & retreats, including private Ecstatic Embodiment Medicine Ceremonies, Portland Ecstatic Dance (starting in Fall 2023), The Heart of the Jungle Retreat in Costa Rica, The Medicina Campout, & BassWitch (all female bass shows in Portland, OR.).

Her travels and studies have created a unique skill set that flows effortlessly in her teachings. She has taught yoga and meditation retreats in the US, Mexico, Spain, Peru, India, and Costa Rica.
